Dye & collage using hand cut pieces on painted mahogany plywood, incorporating digitally printed images from original color pencil self-portraits done by the artist Elizabeth Paxson. The composition is symmetrical, but the colors are not, allowing the eye to journey through the colors in a meditative way. The piece invokes the four directions, the eight fold path, faces, lotus flowers, petals. High chroma dye and collage on board. Covered in plexi-glass with support for hanging.
