Elizabeth Paxson has lived and worked in Michigan for the past 30 years. Now residing in Traverse City, she uses the natural beauty of her surroundings and Lake Michigan to inspire her work. Her imaginative and vibrant dye and collage series on paper take the viewer on intuitive journeys into realms of dream-like, visionary beauty where inner worlds meet outer in vivid color and evocative imagery. She also works in acrylic, oil and mixed media.
She is a poet and writer, and sometimes combines poetry with her paintings.
The dye and collage works series began in 2004, using techniques developed over time by the artist. Pieces are arranged by size and format, and by works sold. Fine prints are available for sale in limited editions of selected pieces
